If losing weight were simply about knowing what to eat, most people would not struggle.

The reality is that our bodies are biologically designed to protect us from weight loss. About me...

My name is Thushara, though most people call me Shara.  I'm a registered dietitian and my work spans across chronic disease management within a London NHS hospital, alongside lecturing in nutrition at London universities.  I am a member of the British Dietetic Association and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

I believe that health, emotional wellbeing, physical wellbeing, and the way we understand the world we live in are intricately linked to one another.  

In my career and practice, I combine evidence-based practice and scientific research from a range of fields, including physiology, psychology, nutritional science, and social and behavioural sciences, to better see and understand you and support your individual health journey.

Our Approach

The Nourish Me approach is centred on seeing the whole person, recognising that our relationship with food, health and wellbeing is shaped  by our experiences, emotions and environment. We do not believe that anyone is broken, and so our approach doesn't chase solutions or fixes. Instead we grow our understanding of food and nourish our relationship with our body.

Here, weight loss is not a focus or an end point. It is a result of the journey of seeing, relating and responding to food, body and mind in new and restorative ways.

We believe that nutrition and dietetics support should be readily available to everyone. Nourish Me Nutrition offers various services, designed with accessibility in mind which can be put together as a package to meet your needs. Our 1-hour, virtual small group sessions offer you;

   - the latest, science based weight management insights techniques 

   - group support

   - provides weekly check-in and problem solving time.

 

You can also book individual consultants in which we understand and guide you on your personal nutrition journey so you won’t need to navigate it alone. If you are someone who is prefers sessions focussed entirely on you, or if you need a consultation that covers other food related conditions, these sessions are for you.

Weight Management Group Session Package

5 virtual 1-hour small group sessions (max 5 participants): £175

Sessions cover:

 - Nutritional age proofing

 

One to one virtual consultations

40-min weight management consultation: £80

Other nutrition conditions: £140 per hour.
